pt.1

Early mornings / I digress.

…The thoughts that consume one’s mind before the rest of the world gets out of bed.
A concept my generation might have completely lost in the fog of social media and late morning stupors.

Just having returned from a short trip to the Dominican Republic I am still trying to make successful connections from my head to my heart. I don’t think I have ever seen such genuine joy and faith in all of my life. And to think it is accompanied with such little material possession is both incredible and motivating.

After seeing a spectrum of things from beautiful to awful, it is imperative to come home and do life differently. If we can travel thousands of miles to feed the hungry and love others, then we certainly should be doing it daily in our own homes and communities.

How do we stretch limits of our faith by rejecting the world’s way of living and asking daily what it means to declare ourselves the Lord’s? Things to chew on.
